How we handle your data, your freight documents, and your API usage safely.

Laneproof is deeply committed to protecting the privacy and security of your freight documents and personal information. We believe in transparency and robust security practices for AI processing.

1. Information We Collect

We collect two main types of qualitative information when you interact with Laneproof:

  • Account Data: Information you provide directly to us when you create an account, subscribe to a plan, or contact support. This includes your name, email address, and billing information (processed securely via Stripe).
  • Logistics Data: We temporarily collect the actual logistics documents (PDFs, images) you upload via our dashboard or API for the express purpose of extracting structured data and detecting anomalies like exceptions or shortages.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your Account Data to operate, maintain, and provide the features and functionality of the Service. We use the uploaded logistics documents strictly to perform the data extraction requested.

Crucially: We do NOT use your proprietary freight documents to train our core foundation AI models. The data extracted from your inbound invoices and carrier rate confirmations is visible exclusively to you and your authorized team members within your dashboard. We do not aggregate and sell lane pricing to broker networks.

3. Third-Party Services & Dual-AI Architecture

Our state-of-the-art Dual-AI extraction utilizes APIs from established frontier providers, specifically Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini).

Your documents are securely transmitted to these providers under enterprise agreements that explicitly prohibit them from storing or using your data to train their models. The payload is analyzed for extraction and immediately discarded from their systems after response.

Payments are processed completely via Stripe. Laneproof does not store, process, or transmit your credit card details on our own servers.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain extracted document data to provide you with historical analytics (such as the Lane Pricing overview) and reconciliation history. Original uploaded documents (PDFs, images) are stored in an encrypted private cloud bucket (Cloudflare R2) accessible only to your account, enabling document preview alongside extracted data.

If you initiate an account deletion via the Danger Zone in your Account Settings page, all associated data — including original documents stored in our cloud bucket, extractions, active API keys, usage statistics, and webhooks — is permanently purged from our live databases and storage immediately. Due to routine encrypted backups, it may take up to 30 days for your data to be fully wiped from cold storage archives.
